What is the safe power limit for the factory rods and pistons on the '99-04 GT?
MANY of our customers are successfully using our supercharger kits placed directly on to their "factory built" engines. When doing so we recommend customers keep rear wheel horsepower and torque levels below the 400 level. Engine builders generally agree that the stock rods or pistons will let go around the 470 RWHP level so backing power off approximately 15% will result in a safe supercharger application.
Assuming your engine is in good condition and running properly, even higher mileage engines can be supercharged safely with the Tork Tech products.
